Where to Find Claude in M365 Copilot

Claude is expanding where it’s used in M365 Copilot. Some of the key access points are listed here and are subject to change.

M365 Admin Center

Anthropic’s Claude models are managed in the M365 admin center under “Copilot Settings.” Anthropic is enabled by default for most commercial customers outside the EU and UK. To enable or disable Claude, two settings under “Data access” each have terms and conditions (see fig 1). These should be reviewed by the responsible parties in an organization before admins accept them:

• AI providers operating as Microsoft subprocessors
• AI providers for other large language models

It can take several hours for the change to take effect. Once Anthropic is enabled, users can select Claude models in some of the features of M365 Copilot. Claude’s preview features also require membership in the Frontier program.

Microsoft Researcher  

Claude models can be selected in the Microsoft Researcher agent. Critique and Council use both Claude and GPT models together.
