Charts & IllustrationsAntigen Products
Antigen products are still available to Forefront server security customers to protect older Microsoft product versions. Customers can acquire the Antigen products through downgrades from Forefront server security products, described in Microsoft’s Product Use Rights document. In July 2009, Microsoft released SP2 for Antigen products with new antispam technology acquired through a partnership with Cloudmark. Microsoft says this will result in better antispam protection, including higher detection rates and fewer false positives. Although multiple scanning engines can still be configured, SP2 offers fewer antimalware scanning engines as alternatives.
