SharePoint Online comes in two tiers, Standard and Dedicated, which offer different functionality as shown in this chart. Microsoft says that all features in the Dedicated tier will eventually be added to the Standard tier, but the Dedicated tier may continue to get new features first. A third Deskless Worker tier (not shown) offers read-only access to content stored on a SharePoint Online site, plus the ability to participate in discussions and surveys.
