Outlook 2003 installations should be targeted for migration. Outlook 2007 left Mainstream support in Oct. 2012, six months later than originally planned. Paid support will still be available for the version through 2017. Shown here are important upcoming support dates for recent versions of Outlook.

Paid support will still be available for Outlook 2003 SP3 through Apr. 2014, and the version still works with the current Exchange Server 2010. However, it is not compatible with the Office 365 services (launched in June 2011), and it will not be compatible with the upcoming Exchange 2013. Consequently, organizations should already be planning its replacement.

The Mainstream support end date for Office 2007 (including Outlook 2007) was moved out six months from the original planned end date to Oct. 9, 2012.

Outlook 2010 must now have Service Pack 1 applied to be eligible for support.
