Organizations will have two major options when migrating to future Microsoft mobile device technologies. The light device management option offers remote device wipe and device configuration on a large range of devices, but capabilities will vary significantly across device platforms. Depth device management offers more capabilities, including simpler device enrollment and application deployment and updating, but will work on fewer devices and will require deployment of Microsoft’s Configuration Manager computer and device configuration product.
