Office 365 ProPlus is offered stand-alone and as part of certain Office 365 suites mainly targeted at medium and large organizations. The major suites for enterprises and their most important components are shown here. Prices shown in the diagram are per user per month, with an annual commitment, for U.S. purchases direct from Microsoft’s online services portal. The prices exclude any volume discounts.

Prices range from US$144 per user per year for Office 365 ProPlus stand-alone (left) to US$264 per user per year for Office 365 Enterprise E4, which includes premium-level hosted services (for Exchange, SharePoint, and Lync) and rights (via a Lync Plus Client Access License [CAL], upper right) to Lync telephony and voice-mail functions implemented on-premises. The suites, designated E1, E3, and E4, are packaged in a Russian doll fashion, with each higher edition’s features being a superset of the lower edition. (E1 includes the capabilities of the former E2 plan, which was eliminated in 2013.) Note that E1 includes the Web-based Office Online, but it does not include Office 365 ProPlus or Office applications for mobile devices.
