Office Live Overview

Office Live will be available in three packages. The free Office Live Basics service offers domain name registration, Web hosting, and e-mail. A separate offering, Office Live Collaboration, includes hosted business management applications and shared workspaces. The most extensive offering, Office Live Essentials, combines Basics (with extra functionality for some services) and Collaboration. Add-on packs are available for the Collaboration and Essentials packages but not for Basics. Users will pay no monthly subscription fee for Basics, although Microsoft might charge a one-time setup fee. The other two packages will be sold on a subscription basis, but Microsoft has not announced pricing.
