Microsoft’s volume licensing Open programs serve a variety of business requirements. The left column lists some key features that can affect which program a company chooses to use, and the remaining columns compare how the various Open programs implement those features.

Software Assurance (SA) coverage is a subscription customers attach to a product license to provide product version upgrades and other benefits. SA is optional in some programs and included in others.
