Product Taxonomy Under the EA Program

The Enterprise Agreement (EA) program categorizes products as either Enterprise or Additional Products and groups them in three product pools. Shown here are examples of products in each of the categories and the three pools, which include Systems, Applications, and Servers.

Enterprise Products are licenses that must be purchased for all clients organization-wide at the start of an EA, while Additional Products may be purchased for only some of an organization’s systems. For a traditional desktop EA, a customer must license a minimum of one Enterprise Product for all of its PCs. The EA discount level for a customer will be determined by Enterprise Product purchases within a particular pool (rather than the customer’s total overall purchases).

Additional Products generally include every other product available through the EA program. They can be purchased separately and at any time during the EA term.
