Several product versions covered in the Roadmap will be leaving Extended support in the next 24 months. After Extended support ends, Microsoft only offers fixes for security vulnerabilities to customers who have custom support contracts, which are expensive and not available in all circumstances. Consequently, organizations running products after Extended support face considerable risks or costs.
