The Hot Fix Checker lists security-critical patches missing from a server. The output of the Hot Fix Checker can be piped to a file in tab-delimited format. That file can then be opened in Excel and formatted to create a report. The following excerpt from a complete report shows patches that were not found, as well as warnings regarding file versions, and shows that while the tool helps identify which patches are not installed, more research is needed to understand what each patch does.
