New managers head important units in the Server & Tools division, which is responsible for Windows Server, SQL Server, Visual Studio, Windows Azure, and other platform software and cloud services. Shown here are division executives at the corporate vice-presidential level and above.

Ted Kummert leads the Business Platform Division and is responsible for SQL Server as well as important developer-facing components of Windows Server and the Windows Azure cloud platform. Quentin Clark leads development of the SQL Server database management system and related technologies (such as the Parallel Data Warehouse platform), while Tom Casey recently took over SQL Azure and related cloud services. Scott Guthrie recently joined the division to manage application server components of both Windows Server and Windows Azure, including the IIS Web server, the Windows Server and Windows Azure AppFabric workflow and messaging infrastructure. Guthrie is also responsible for the BizTalk Server and Commerce Server products.
