SharePoint 2010 arrived in May 2010. The SharePoint 2010 lineup includes SharePoint Server 2010; an update to the Search Server enterprise search product; and the free SharePoint Foundation (not shown), which is the next version of Windows SharePoint Services.

SharePoint Server 2010 delivers improvements for team collaboration, content management, search, and business intelligence. An add-on called FAST for SharePoint improves SharePoint Server 2010 enterprise search capabilities with technology acquired with Fast Search and Transfer in 2008. SharePoint Server 2010 incorporates the business scorecard functions of the discontinued PerformancePoint Server product, but not other functions such as financial planning and budgeting. SharePoint Server 2010 also delivers improved administration and a major expansion of developer tools and APIs. All of the SharePoint 2010 products require 64-bit versions of Windows Server 2008 or later; they will not run on Windows Server 2003 or 2003 R2.
