The major server applications and Windows all have conferences coming in 2014. The conferences listed here are likely forums for product launches or roadmap announcements. All are located in the United States, and all except the PASS conferences are Microsoft events.
Build covers the Windows APIs and developer tools. TechEd covers all of Microsoft’s enterprise technology and takes over the role of the discontinued Microsoft Management Summit, where Microsoft traditionally discussed the roadmap for System Center and other systems management technology. The PASS Summit, sponsored by the Professional Association for SQL Server, has frequently been the venue for SQL Server product launches and roadmap announcements. The PASS Business Analytics Conference has played a similar role for Power Pivot and other Microsoft business intelligence technologies.
