With the release of Visual Studio 2015, the four previous Visual Studio with MSDN editions have been reduced to three and the price of the high-end edition has been substantially reduced. Prices quoted in bold are for new purchases at U.S. Open, No level pricing with two years of Software Assurance (SA). Prices in italics are for renewal at the same pricing (two years of SA). The prices for Visual Studio 2015 Enterprise are estimated based on the price of the new edition being approximately the same as the current price for Visual Studio 2013 Premium edition. All prices are in U.S. dollars. Black arrows show automatic transitions for subscribers. Gray arrows show possible transitions for the eliminated MSDN Operating System edition.

Depending on the features needed for an administrator or a development role on a development team, a current subscriber of MSDN 2013 OS edition could upgrade to either MSDN 2015 Platforms edition or Visual Studio 2015 Professional with MSDN.

Developers with Visual Studio 2013 Professional and testers with a current subscription to Visual Studio 2013 Test Professional with MSDN will be entitled to the respective 2015 edition with MSDN, and the price for new subscriptions and renewals will remain the same.
