Windows 8.1 includes additional enterprise-focused features, and these features should increase the appeal of Windows 8.1 to businesses. However, many of them rely on Windows Server 2012 R2 or Windows Intune, the Microsoft-hosted computer management service, which means it might take some time and planning for businesses to take advantage of the features.

Most of the listed features are available in Windows 8.1 Pro, the primary business edition of the OS, but some new user interface management capabilities require Windows 8.1 Enterprise.
