In BriefDynamics 365 Fraud Protection Retiring: Migration Required
Microsoft is retiring Dynamics 365 Fraud Protection, and support will end in Feb. 2026 with no alternative solution. Fraud Protection (released in Oct. 2019) is a stand-alone Dynamics 365 service, often used with Dynamics 365 Commerce and Finance, to analyze transactions and events in real time and report on potentially fraudulent activities. It provides account and purchase protection and loss prevention, and it works with various payment service providers and products other than Dynamics 365. Microsoft did not provide details on why Fraud Protection is being retired, other than to say it is no longer available for purchase and support will end in Feb. 2026. Details about alternative solutions were promised by the end of Feb. 2025 but have not yet arrived. Directions recommends customers pursue third-party solutions rather than waiting for Microsoft to provide options. More details are available at “End of Support for Dynamics 365 Fraud Protection” (Microsoft). Dynamics 365 reports are available in the Directions Kit “Kit: Dynamics 365”.
