Dynamics 365 (online) provides subscription offerings that are separated into client types: light user, full user, and device.

Full users are individuals who need access to a full range of features and functionality in one or more applications. Full users can be licensed by individual application (listed here as Sales, Field Service, Customer Service, Project Service, Marketing, and Operations) or via an Enterprise Edition plan (listed here as Enterprise Edition Plan 1 and Enterprise Edition Plan 2). Plan 1 is most like the previous Dynamics CRM Online subscriptions, whereas Plan 2 is most like the previous Dynamics AX (online) subscription. The plans include access to multiple applications and are packaged in a Russian-doll fashion, with the higher plans being a superset of the lower one. The plans also include extra features, such as reduced minimum user requirements, higher default storage, and volume discounts that will likely benefit larger organizations with multiple users.
