Many 2002 product versions are leaving Mainstream support in 2007. Shown below are products and service packs that will no longer be supported, or that are leaving the Mainstream support phase and entering Extended support. Customers who keep these products in operation after the end of Mainstream support will want a support contract, and possibly an Extended Hotfix Support Agreement that entitles them to request custom hotfixes.

Customers must be on a recent service pack to receive support for any product. Shown below are several initial product releases or service packs that must be upgraded to a more recent service pack to receive support.

For further information on Microsoft’s product support life-cycle, see the Mar. 2007 Enterprise Software Roadmap or Microsoft’s support life-cycle site, support.microsoft.com/lifecycle.
