  • Azure Active Directory Business to Consumer enables consumers to sign in to Web and mobile applications using credentials from most popular consumer identity providers.
  • The service speeds the development process for applications compared to building a custom identity solution.
  • Licensing can be prohibitively expensive for large organizations using Azure Active Directory Premium P2 capabilities like identity protection.

Azure Active Directory (AAD) Business to Consumer (B2C) delivers identity management as a service to let customers of ISVs and other businesses sign in to their products and services using tenancies. The service requires integration and customization to be effective but offers built-in user flows for common identity tasks. The service is free for up to 50,000 monthly active users but can become quite expensive beyond that, particularly if the organization is taking advantage of AAD security features.

What Is AAD B2C?

AAD B2C offers identity management and integration of most major consumer identity providers. End-user customers can associate consumer identities, such as Facebook accounts, Google IDs, and Microsoft accounts, with the organization’s applications. They can also create a new organization-specific identity unique to the application host organization’s tenancy.
