Azure Advisor is a free service that offers operational recommendations for Azure VMs, Azure SQL Database, and a select set of additional services.
Recommendations generally include suggestions about high availability, security, performance, and cost.
The service does not offer comparative recommendations between Azure services or any third-party services.

Azure Advisor is a free service available in the Azure portal, which offers recommendations to help organizations improve the operational and cost effectiveness of Azure services within their subscriptions. While the service currently offers only recommendations for a limited set of Azure services, it still might be useful with suggestions of best practices that could reduce cost and improve efficiency and effectiveness of the services.

Service Overview

The set of Azure services that Azure Advisor provides recommendations for include Azure Virtual Machines (VMs) and VM Availability Sets, Azure SQL Database, App Services, Application Gateway, and Redis Cache.
