Organizations deploying Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) as a virtual desktop solution and who have invested in Azure Stack HCI (Stack HCI) may find AVD with Stack HCI worthwhile. Using AVD with Stack HCI will allow an organization to deploy Windows Enterprise multi-session, keep some user data locally, and take advantage of Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) Shortpath to address latency issues. However, regardless of whether an organization has deployed Stack HCI, the costs of acquiring and licensing the AVD or AVD and Stack HCI may outweigh these benefits.
