The Calling Plan service enables Teams customers to use Microsoft as a hosted service provider for voice calling.
Calling Plan subscriptions include domestic and international calling but are available in a limited number of countries and regions.
Customers migrating from Skype for Business Online to Teams will automatically receive calls in Teams as users are migrated.
Communication Credits ensure users can receive and place calls if they exceed monthly allotted minutes.

Calling Plan is a service offered by Microsoft that provides public switched telephone network (PSTN) connectivity for Teams customers. When used with the Phone System service, it provides a fully hosted telephony service that does not require on-premises hardware. Calling Plan is only offered in a limited number of countries and regions, and customers who need service in other areas or have specific requirements may need to use Direct Routing instead.
