  • Connectors enable Flow, PowerApps, and Logic Apps applications to work consistently with data in hundreds of commercial applications.
  • Connector availability could affect whether a developer uses Flow, PowerApps, or Logic Apps for a project.
  • Some connectors trigger additional licensing obligations.

Connectors are Microsoft-hosted software components that link Microsoft and third-party data sources and services to applications created with Microsoft Flow, PowerApps, and Azure Logic Apps. Users can write custom connectors or choose from a library of existing connectors. Connectors provide a consistent interface, but some require additional licensing.

Connectors Overview

Flow, PowerApps, and Logic Apps are platforms for applications with custom logic, workflow, forms, and reports that often integrate multiple data sources and services. A connector is a proxy or a wrapper around a data source or service’s API that exposes a set of prebuilt actions and triggers for Flow, PowerApps, and Logic Apps applications.
