  • Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CRM) updates over the past six months have focused on releasing a new marketing application and further integrating the service with Office 365.
  • Customer Engagement’s renamed customization framework targets a larger developer audience but is slated to remove many longtime features.
  • Future development will focus on further integration with LinkedIn and the release of Power BI applications to deliver more analytics.

The Dynamics 365 Online Spring 2018 release is not so much a coordinated upgrade of the numerous services in Dynamics 365 as a communication effort that highlights changes over the last six months and provides a roadmap of upcoming changes. Microsoft states it plans to have two such events per year.

Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CRM) Overview

Dynamics 365 is a family of online services and on-premises products that provide customer relationship management (CRM), sales, marketing, enterprise resource planning (ERP), human resource management, and retail functionality.
