New releases of Dynamics customer relationship management (CRM) software include broad platform enhancements for marketing and sales, and customization options that are particularly beneficial for CRM Online customers. The releases include a new collaboration environment to promote communication between marketing and sales groups and product relationship enhancements to help sales personnel create additional selling opportunities. Enhanced customization capabilities include improved business rules, process flows, and calculated fields that enable tailoring an instance without writing code. Several changes to licensing move online features to lower subscription levels, and new dual-use rights may encourage some customers to purchase CRM Online licenses.

Broad Platform Improvements

The Dynamics CRM product family combines Microsoft-hosted services with a core CRM product (available on-premises or hosted) to deliver marketing, sales, and customer service capabilities. The products can also be used as a platform for applications that support other business processes, such as logistics, fundraising, and recruiting.
