Microsoft provides four options, called channels, to control how often Edge is updated with new features for an organization as follows: 

  • Extended Stable Channel—a channel for enterprises that manage Edge with tools such as Intune; it uses an eight-week release cycle to deliver cumulative feature updates that align with even-numbered releases, with Feature updates from odd-numbered releases packaged and delivered as part of the subsequent even-numbered release.
