Entra ID provides hosted identity and access management.
Most capabilities are available across all supported mobile and desktop OSs.
A handful of features require a compatible mobile device.
Windows still offers the most complete sign-on experience with unique features not available on other platforms.

Entra ID is an online service that provides identity and access management for most Microsoft-hosted services including Microsoft 365 Enterprise (and its constituent online service components such as Intune), Dynamics 365 services, Azure VMs and other Azure services, and for customer and third-party applications. Most Entra ID capabilities are supported with any client OS, but some features require a compatible mobile device, and Windows client still offers the deepest integration with Microsoft’s identity infrastructures.
