Microsoft announced three new computers and introduced the Surface headphones in Oct. 2018. Microsoft has been offering Surface hardware for six years, aimed at both the consumer and business market.

The products announced for businesses, the Surface Pro 6 (a two-in-one device) and the Surface Laptop 2, use the latest 8th generation Intel Quad Core processor. Both systems are configurable with various RAM and disk storage, but neither of these devices supports USB-C. They are available in two models: Consumer and Business. Differences revolve around the OS and support. Consumer models ship with Windows 10 Home, while Business models ship with Windows 10 Pro, and they have the necessary components to support OS virtualization.

An update to the Surface Book (a more traditional laptop device for businesses) was not released.

Other products announced:

The Surface Studio 2 (all-in-one) uses the 7th generation Intel processor, but it may be the most powerful Surface due to a 50% faster GPU. The screen has been improved with better brightness and contrast, and the Studio supports USB-C.
