An Azure landing zone architecture prepares Azure to meet a customer’s requirements before workloads such as applications and data are deployed. Microsoft’s Cloud Adoption Framework, a collection of Microsoft business and technology guidance for Azure adoption and ongoing use, includes a discussion and tools that help build a reference landing zone architecture. A lack of planning and establishment of landing zones can lead to Azure management difficulties, compliance violations, and extra work and downtime as deployments expand.
