  • Logic Apps has become Azure’s flagship B2B workflow and integration service.
  • Integrations built with Logic Apps can reduce manual labor and enhance an organization’s speed and agility.

Microsoft has promoted numerous products and services supporting the design and execution of business processes, including BizTalk Server, Windows Workflow Foundation, and others. However, Logic Apps, an Azure service first introduced in 2016, has become a popular choice because of its ease of design and deployment. Logic Apps enables scheduled and automated processes with simple, building-block design supported by a large library of connectors to applications, services, and databases.

This report is the first in a series of three:

Part 1. Logic Apps Workflow and Integration covers the functionality, use cases, development, and management of Logic Apps applications.

Part 2. Logic Apps Hosting and Licensing describes the various options for hosting Logic Apps in Azure and on-premises, and the licensing options available to customers.
