Analyst ReportMSCRM Pricing, Availability Announced
Microsoft Great Plains has revealed packaging, pricing, and availability information for its forthcoming customer relationship management (CRM) server, Microsoft CRM (MSCRM). As previously announced, MSCRM will be a server application for businesses with between 25 and 500 employees. It will help them manage their sales forces and customer service teams, and will reportedly feature tight integration with Outlook and Exchange. (For background on features and business strategy, see “New CRM Server Planned” on page 6 of the Apr. 2002 Update.)
MSCRM will be available in six different packages. Customers can choose a Sales version (with features for sales teams), a Service version (with features for customer service teams), or a Suite that combines both. In addition, the Sales version, Service version, and combined Suite will each be available in both a Standard Edition with core customer management features, and a Professional Edition with additional features, such as workflow tracking and the ability to create direct e-mail campaigns. The Professional Edition is also necessary for customers who want to integrate MSCRM with other Great Plains and Navision business management applications. For a matrix with features and suggested retail prices for each combination, see the chart, “MSCRM Price and Feature Matrix“.
