Dynamics NAV 2013 R2, which will be generally available in Oct. 2013, introduces multitenant hosting, potentially reducing the cost of deployment and maintenance for hosting providers, and brings improved PowerShell deployment tools and System Center Operation Manager integration. Companies with SharePoint 2013 deployments could benefit from tighter SharePoint interoperability, as Dynamics NAV 2013 R2 can be made available as a SharePoint application, which exposes business processes and more data to SharePoint users. However, achieving the best experience with SharePoint may require user interface (UI) customizations.

Azure, Multitenancy Lower Provider Costs

Dynamics NAV 2013 R2 builds on the capabilities of Dynamics NAV 2013 Feature Pack 1 (FP1), which was released in June 2013 and introduced support for provider hosting of Dynamics NAV on Windows Azure. The FP1 version also introduced tools to accelerate provisioning Dynamics NAV installations and are available for Azure, provider hosting, or on-premises environments.
