In a June 2015 reorganization announcement, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella revealed that several of his direct reports are leaving Microsoft. The moves expand the responsibilities of some executives who remain. Four groups (left) focus on product and service engineering, while other areas (right) support these groups and other business functions. The reorganization came approximately a week ahead of an internal memo to employees that introduced a new mission: “To empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more.”

Terry Myerson takes charge of a new Windows and Devices Group (WDG) formed from Myerson’s Windows group and the Devices and Studios Group, whose former leader Stephen Elop is leaving the company.

Scott Guthrie’s Cloud and Enterprise Group (C+E) takes over Dynamics engineering, as the Microsoft Business Solutions group of the departing Kirill Tatarinov is disbanded.

Chris Capossela now has sole responsibility for corporate marketing and branding, tasks formerly shared with Mark Penn, who is leaving. Capossela’s organization also takes over marketing for the Dynamics products.
