Several changes to Microsoft’s board of directors, announced since Satya Nadella’s appointment as CEO in Feb. 2014, provide Nadella with a board tailored to help implement his mobile-first, cloud-first strategy. When the changes are completed in Dec. 2014, approximately half of the board will have been appointed since Nadella became Microsoft’s third CEO. The new board members come from diverse backgrounds, bringing additional expertise in banking, finance, large enterprises, and mobile communications.

Stanton, chairman of Trilogy Equity Partners, a venture team that provides significant operational and entrepreneurial experience as well as venture capital, and Trilogy International Partners, which operates wireless communication networks in markets where unmet demand presents a significant opportunity for growth.
