  • With Windows 10 version 1903, the concept of a Semi-Annual Channel Targeted (SAC-T) milestone ends.
  • Organizations need to use Windows Update for Business or another mechanism to defer installation of feature and quality updates until evaluation and testing are complete.

The announcement of an official Semi-Annual Channel Targeted (SAC-T) milestone will end with Windows 10 version 1903. The SAC-T designation was intended for targeted pilot users, who would receive new versions (Feature Updates) in the SAC-T before the version was released to all users through the Semi-Annual Channel (SAC). Versions now become generally available within the SAC, without initially going to the SAC-T. The SAC-T milestone will no longer be declared in Windows 10 documentation and will be removed from Windows Update for Business (whose end-user settings interface is shown here). Organizations using System Center Configuration Manager, Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), or other management tools will see only one release of a version published to WSUS at the time of general availability.
