Analyst ReportNew Version, Roadmap for Dynamics GP
Dynamics GP received an interim update and Microsoft announced general priorities for the product’s future development in Apr. 2011. Dynamics GP is an enterprise resource planning (ERP) product designed for midsize organizations and sold primarily in the Americas and English-speaking countries. The product will continue to pursue this target audience with enhancements to simplify deployment, enable cloud delivery by Microsoft and other firms, and improve the product’s user interface and reporting.

Dynamics GP 2010 R2 Fine-Tunes Reporting, Other Features
Released roughly a year after Dynamics GP 2010, Dynamics GP 2010 R2 includes many point enhancements in reporting and other areas.
For reporting, the most notable improvement is a new reporting client application called Business Analyzer that offers a user quick access to a list of reports based on the user’s role, and which the user can further customize. Users can run Business Analyzer embedded in the full Dynamics GP client, but can also run it stand-alone. The stand-alone configuration enables self-service report access, in which senior managers and others who don’t normally use the product can generate and explore reports on their own. This in turn can save time (because Dynamics GP users don’t have to take time generating reports for others) and deliver more useful results (because report creators can view and drill down into live Dynamics GP data rather than looking at static snapshots).
