OMS Now Bundles Online and On-Premises Tools

The Operations Management Suite (OMS) bundle of Azure online services is now available not only as an add-on to System Center but also as a new stand-alone subscription that includes rights to use System Center. The suite includes four Azure services that can help manage hosted and on-premises resources such as servers and virtual machines. The new option for the suite may attract customers who have both on-premises and cloud-hosted servers or virtual machines (VMs) and are not yet System Center customers. Pricing is per managed endpoint.

OMS Bundles Four Azure Services

OMS bundles Azure hosted services to provide a less expensive alternative to separate subscriptions for managing on-premises and hosted compute resources, including Azure and Amazon Web Services. The suite may be attractive to customers who want to manage on-premises and Azure resources from the Internet, or to those who want to use Azure as part of a backup and disaster recovery plan.
