Duet Enterprise 2.0 has been discontinued and will not work with SharePoint Server 2016, which became generally available in May 2016. Jointly developed by Microsoft and SAP, the Duet Enterprise software enables workers to access the SAP suite of business applications from SharePoint Server, SharePoint Online, Outlook, and other Microsoft applications and services. Duet Enterprise’s cancellation means that its customers might have to delay upgrades from earlier versions of SharePoint, where Duet Enterprise is still supported, and customers using Duet Enterprise with SharePoint Online should immediately seek alternatives.

Duet Enterprise delivers SharePoint components for viewing and updating SAP data in the SharePoint Web interface, accessing SAP reports, searching SAP data, and participating in SAP workflows. It was one of the major uses of the Business Connectivity Services (BCS) application integration component of SharePoint Server.
