System Center 2012 Service Pack 1 (SP1) became available in Dec. 2012 and is essential for using System Center products with Microsoft’s latest platform. System Center 2012 is the latest version of Microsoft’s product line for computer configuration, monitoring, virtualization, backup, software deployment and installation, and other administrative tasks. The service pack allows the products to be used with Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012, among other improvements. Many organizations using System Center will want to upgrade to System Center 2012 SP1 before moving to Microsoft’s latest OSs, but the System Center upgrade itself needs to be done carefully.

Windows 8, Server 2012, SQL Server 2012 Common to All

System Center 2012 consolidates Microsoft’s line of systems management and security products. Most System Center 2012 products are not available separately but only as components of two System Center licensing bundles: System Center 2012 Standard and System Center 2012 Datacenter, each containing licenses for eight System Center 2012 products.
