Analyst ReportTeam System Extended to Database Pros
A new specialized client edition for the Visual Studio Team System (VSTS) will bring change management and automated testing to database professionals, and it could help IT developers better communicate and collaborate with database administrators. A preview of Visual Studio 2005 Team Edition for Database Professionals, an integrated development environment for database professionals-IT developers who specialize in designing and implementing database schemas, stored procedures, and queries-was announced at the June 2006 TechEd conference with a final version available by the end of 2006.
The June 2006 preview supports SQL Server 2000 only, but the final release will support SQL Server 2005 as well.

The new edition joins the following set of products that make up Team System:
