Analyst ReportTool Helps Troubleshoot Configuration Manager Agents
A new tool, now in beta, can help administrators diagnose problems with Configuration Manager clients and can bundle detailed information together for forwarding to specialists. System Center 2012 Configuration Manager Support Center gathers log files and client configuration information and reports details via a dashboard user interface. Support Center Viewer provides a user interface to information that has been bundled by Support Center.
Collecting Configurations and Logs
Configuration Manager (CM) deploys OSs, updates, patches, and applications over a corporate network (or over the Internet using a virtual private network connection) to client PCs and servers, and tracks and collects hardware inventories of Windows and other clients and servers. It can help customers manage power settings and policies, and it forms the basis for managing endpoint antimalware on Windows computers. CM relies on clients (agents) that are installed locally on client PCs and servers.
