Analyst ReportVisual Studio 2015 and MSDN Receive Edition Changes
Visual Studio 2015, a new version of Microsoft’s developer tools, should be generally available by Sept. 2015. The new version consolidates the number of editions, which may simplify the task of matching the appropriate edition to a development team member’s role. Pricing is consistent for the editions that remain, and the new highest edition is less expensive than the previous one. However, while volume licensing customers will be able to immediately apply the edition price cut to new users, they may have to wait until the end of existing subscription terms before benefiting from the new pricing.
