Analyst ReportWhen Is Intune Advanced Analytics Worth Licensing?
- Intune Advanced Analytics adds five Intune features for insight into application hangs and other common Windows problems.
- It solves some of the limits of Intune Plan 1 built-in analytics, which most customers license today.
- Advanced Analytics requires Intune-managed Windows endpoints but can also work in co-managed environments.
- Licensing can be extensive, as the Intune Suite add-on or stand-alone Advanced Analytics license is required for all users who benefit from this feature.
Intune Advanced Analytics offers reporting on Windows PC application hangs and crashes, regressions after updates, and other anomalies. The feature includes a new approach to query properties of managed Windows PCs in real time whether Intune managed or co-managed. Advanced Analytics builds on the Endpoint Analytics features offered by Intune Plan 1 but requires one of two optional add-on licenses for all users who benefit from the feature. Due to the premium cost and the need to license all users, organizations should weigh whether they should adopt or defer the feature for the time being.
