  • Windows 11 24H2 includes security and administration features of interest to enterprises, plus foundational AI capabilities that target consumers and, to a lesser extent, businesses. 
  • This version works on Windows 11–capable PCs, and additionally new Copilot+-branded PCs featuring Snapdragon X Arm, and newer Intel and AMD processors.  
  • Certain applications included in Windows 11 24H2, designated as “Copilot+ experiences,” require Copilot+ PCs. 
  • There’s also Windows 11 Enterprise LTSC 2024, the first Long Term Servicing Channel release built on Windows 11, which gets five years of support. 

On Oct. 1, Microsoft began rolling out Windows 11 24H2, the latest annual Windows update. This latest version includes a handful of new features that may be of interest to enterprise customers, including the following: 

  • SHA-3 cryptographic support  
  • LAPS (Local Administrator Password Solution) changes 
  • Local Security Authority (LSA) protection enablement on upgrade
