The Windows Insider Program, which provides the opportunity to test changes in preview releases of the Windows 10 OS and provide feedback to the Windows team, will finally be expanded to better address business IT professionals. These changes may result in improvements to Windows 10 technologies used by larger organizations and make these customers more willing to deploy Windows 10 and move to the most recent versions as they become available.

Although many IT professionals are already enrolled in the Windows Insider Program, their feedback has been included with that of consumers and Windows enthusiasts. This means that such feedback may have been given less weight, and testing with the features that enterprises rely on, like Active Directory, Group Policy, virtual private networks, and line-of-business applications, may not have been as thorough as needed.

In the coming months, Microsoft will add features to the existing program, such as the ability to potentially affect priorities of feature changes, to better support IT professionals.
