  • To-Do offers a subset of Exchange Online task management features with cross-platform clients.
  • It is not an enterprise collaboration tool or a replacement for Wunderlist.
  • To-Do is expected to become a consolidation service for tasks from Exchange Online and Planner, and possibly Project Online.

To-Do is a Microsoft-hosted, personal task management service available in Office 365 with cross-platform clients that helps users organize and track the status of tasks. The service currently integrates with Exchange Online tasks, and it is likely to gain connections to Planner, which could allow mobile users to have a consolidated view of tasks assigned to them from multiple sources. To-Do is in most Office 365 plans and starting in Nov. 2017 is turned on by default, so administrators will need to control its use.

Overview

To-Do helps users create tasks, group tasks into lists, set reminders and due dates, and track the status of tasks. It has clients for Android, iOS, Web browsers, and Windows 10 devices. To-Do clients display an organizational screen that shows daily unfinished tasks and suggested tasks (based on machine learning results).
