RoadmapAzure Mobile App
Azure Mobile App provides Azure monitoring and management tools that run on Android, iOS, and iPadOS devices. Azure Mobile App could help Azure customers observe Azure deployments and perform lightweight Azure management tasks from devices rather than larger workstations. (See “Azure Mobile App Illustration.”)
Overview
Azure management can be performed on mobile devices with browsers or remote desktop applications, but the UIs presented with those methods are difficult to work with on small device screens.
Azure Mobile App includes the following functionality:
Notifications and alerts, such as health statistics and custom alerts on metrics such as CPU usage.
Monitoring of Azure resource status and metrics, such as recent errors, usage, and properties.
Management operations, such as starting and stopping certain resources (for example, VMs and Web Apps), connecting to VMs through a Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) app, and launching other Azure tools in a browser (for example, Azure DevOps and HDInsight).
