Near Term (2025–2026)

Commerce is expected to receive a small number of updates that improve the use of modern payment systems, offline device management and integration, and delayed pricing strategies from 2024.

Stores, which are physical locations that Microsoft refers to as Store Commerce, will receive investment in management of devices, features to monitor the health of stores, and options to evaluate a store’s offline readiness. New customization options for iOS devices will allow organizations with more payment process providers like Adyen, Klarna, Affirm, and Afterpay, providing the option for consumers to use payment solutions of their choice.
