Near Term (2025–2026)

Updates and plans for the Sales application are focused on general productivity features and autonomous AI and features to control database size by deduplicating records.

Traditional AI insight updates include features that are mostly labeled as Copilot in Sales. They will surface the most important leads on the user’s sales dashboard, provide insight into why those leads were chosen, and generate action items (next steps) for pursuing those leads. Other updates will help generate follow-up actions based on customer conversations, meetings, and e-mails.

Chat UIs updates will include Sales Research AI agent, a new chat UI that helps Sales managers analyze team performance by combining Dynamics 365 and external data. It accepts natural language queries like other chat UIs but is designed for more complex questions and follow-on analysis than other chat UI solutions. The agent will combine data from Dynamics 365 and external sources, perform detailed analysis (like sentiment, performance, and other metrics), and present the results, including text and data visuals, in a storyboard format. Users can drill into the data to see underlying causes, refine the question and analysis, and add data sources to improve the results.
